Adaline and Ariana were walking home from school while a calming spring breeze swept over their faces. “Addy, I don’t want to go back home.” Ariana said. “That is- er- bad! We may live in an over-crowded orphanage, but you must want to go back and get some fresh bread,” Adaline said. Ariana stopped walking. “What are you talking about?! You know I hate that place! If only he was here.” Ariana sighed. Just then, an owl flew out of the sky and perched on a branch in front of the sisters.
